Reduction of the Environmental Impact of Electric Field Generated by High Voltage Power Transmission Lines

The growing interest in the negative environmental impact of overhead power lines high and extra-high voltage stems from increasing ecological awareness societies. Consequently, a number respective legal restrictions have been issued actions undertaken to reduce this impact, especially electric field frequency. aim paper is analyze possibilities reducing width influence zones by changing design parameters defining spatial distribution its conductors. This analysis was carried out using developed experimentally verified models for determining audible noise line environment. computational were used 400 kV levels at borders these zones. research focused on single double circuit lines. It revealed that reduction emissions accompanied an increase emission. However, analyses confirmed can be significantly reduced if most important construction are properly selected. obtained conclusions valid not only lines, but also set directions follow when transmission other rated voltages (above 100 kV).
